Host School of the Ateneo Montserrat

The Ateneu Montserrat is an entity rooted in the Hostafrancs neighborhood since 1929. It is currently part of the Hostafrancs Cultural Foundation along with the Joan Pelegrí School and the Montserrat Xavier Center. The welcoming of newcomers began in 1996, first with a group of women from Morocco, creating a meeting space to share cooking, sewing and other cultural elements. Shortly after, Catalan and Spanish classes began. Today, more than a hundred people from all over the world share the learning of the two languages.
