Can Batlló

The Can Batlló Self-Managed Community and Neighborhood Space Association is located in the La Bordeta neighborhood within the grounds of the former textile factory.

After more than 30 years of claiming this space by neighborhood associations, finally after a strong campaign of more than two years, one of the most emblematic buildings was ceded by the City Council: block 11. This was on June 11, 2011 and since then other buildings have been conquered where different projects have been located.

Can Batlló is completely self-managed by the residents without intervention from the administration.

In March 2019, an agreement was signed with the City Council in which the buildings were ceded to the association for a 30-year concession, renewable up to 50.
